Day 1: Kigali – Cultural and Natural Tour

Your adventure begins in Kigali, Rwanda’s vibrant capital. In the morning, visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial, a powerful tribute to the victims of the 1994 genocide, offering deep insights into Rwanda’s history and resilience. In the afternoon, take a relaxing walk in Nyandungu Eco Park, a restored wetland where you can reconnect with nature, observe birdlife, and unwind in the serene environment.

Day 2: Kigali to Musanze

Depart Kigali in the morning for a scenic drive to Musanze (Ruhengeri), the gateway to Volcanoes National Park. Day 8: Nyungwe – Chimpanzee Trekking and Canopy Walk

Later, experience the famous canopy walk, a thrilling suspension bridge high above the forest floor, offering panoramic views of the lush green canopy and abundant birdlife.

Day 9: Nyungwe to Huye to Kigali

Akagera is home to the Big Five, making for an exciting wildlife encounter.

Day 11: Akagera National Park – Wildlife and Boat Safari

Rise early for a morning game drive, when animals are most active. Spot lions, rhinos, zebras, and buffalos as the sun rises over the park’s golden plains. In the afternoon, take a boat safari on Lake Ihema, where you’ll encounter hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of water birds in their natural habitat.

Day 12: Akagera to Kigali – Departure

Conclude your adventure with a final morning safari, capturing any last sightings of Rwanda’s incredible wildlife. After breakfast, drive back to Kigali. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time for last-minute souvenir shopping before transferring to the airport for departure.
