Day 1: Arrival in Kigali
Upon arrival in Kigali, Rwanda’s vibrant capital, you will be transferred to your accommodation. After settling in, enjoy a briefing on your exciting safari itinerary, ensuring you’re well-prepared for the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Kigali to Nyungwe National Park
After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Nyungwe National Park, one of Africa’s oldest rainforests. En route, stop for a tour of Rwanda’s famous tea plantations, where you’ll learn about the cultivation and harvesting process, followed by a relaxing tea tasting.

Day 3: Nyungwe National Park
Today is dedicated to chimpanzee tracking in Nyungwe’s lush forests. After a thrilling encounter with these intelligent primates, you may choose to explore the culture of Rwanda through traditional activities, offering an enriching, hands-on experience of the local heritage.

Day 4: Nyungwe National Park
Start your day with a remarkable canopy walk, suspended high above the forest floor, providing panoramic views and a chance to observe diverse flora and fauna. Later, you can opt for a trek to spot Columbus monkeys or enjoy a peaceful nature walk through Nyungwe’s pristine environment.

Day 5: Nyungwe to Karongi
Drive to the picturesque lakeside town of Karongi, located on the shores of Lake Kivu. Discover the ecological significance of the lake, known for its stunning beauty and biodiversity, before taking a relaxing boat tour to explore its islands and shores.

Day 6: Karongi to Volcanoes National Park
After breakfast, journey to Volcanoes National Park, home to Rwanda’s famous mountain gorillas. Upon arrival, visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Fund, where you can learn about conservation efforts and the legacy of Dian Fossey in protecting mountain gorillas.

Day 7: Gorilla Trekking
Prepare for a once-in-a-lifetime experience as you embark on an early morning trek to see the mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. Spend time observing these magnificent creatures up close, then return to your lodge to relax and reflect on the incredible experience.

Day 8-9: Karisimbi Hike
Over the next two days, embark on the challenging Karisimbi hike, which takes you to one of the highest peaks in Volcanoes National Park. This two-day trek offers stunning views of the surrounding volcanic landscapes, dense forests, and alpine meadows. As part of the adventure, you’ll camp overnight in the park, surrounded by nature’s beauty and the sounds of the wilderness. The hike is an immersive experience, offering the opportunity to spot rare wildlife, including various bird species and primates, while appreciating the rugged terrain and the incredible panorama from the summit. Camping in this serene environment adds a unique dimension to your Rwandan adventure.

Day 10: Return to Kigali
On the final day of your safari, travel back to Kigali. You may opt for a city tour, visiting key landmarks such as the Kigali Genocide Memorial or local markets for souvenir shopping, before your departure, cherishing the memories of a truly unforgettable adventure in Rwanda.
