Day 2: Kigali to Akagera National Park
Begin your journey with a scenic drive to Akagera National Park, a haven for Rwanda’s diverse wildlife. After checking in at your lodge, embark on an exciting afternoon game drive. Spot herds of elephants, graceful giraffes, and prowling predators as you explore the park’s savannah landscapes.

Day 3: Akagera National Park
Your day starts early with a thrilling morning game drive, perfect for catching animals at their most active. Enjoy a midday break before heading out for another game drive in the afternoon. As night falls, embark on a night safari for a rare opportunity to witness the park’s nocturnal wildlife, including leopards and hyenas, under the starry sky.

Day 4: Akagera National Park
Dive deeper into Akagera’s beauty with another set of morning and afternoon game drives, uncovering hidden gems of the park. Later, enjoy a serene boat safari on Lake Ihema. Glide across the water, spotting hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of waterbirds, creating a peaceful yet thrilling experience.

Day 5: Akagera to Volcanoes National Park
Bid farewell to Akagera as you head towards the lush landscapes of Volcanoes National Park. On the way, visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund. Learn about the inspiring conservation efforts dedicated to protecting mountain gorillas and enjoy an interactive educational experience.

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking
Rise early for the highlight of your trip: a trek into the misty forests to meet Rwanda’s iconic mountain gorillas. Guided by expert trackers, you’ll observe these majestic creatures up close in their natural habitat. After this unforgettable encounter, return to your lodge to relax and reflect on the day’s adventure.

Day 7: Golden Monkey Trekking or Mount Bisoke Hike
Choose your adventure today! Opt for a trek to see the playful golden monkeys, an endangered primate species unique to the region. Alternatively, challenge yourself with a hike to Mount Bisoke’s crater lake, where breathtaking views await at the summit.

Day 8: Return to Kigali
Conclude your safari with a transfer back to Kigali. If time permits, enjoy an optional city tour, exploring Kigali’s cultural landmarks and bustling markets. Don’t forget to pick up unique souvenirs before heading to the airport for your departure, taking with you memories of a lifetime.
